Cancellation & Refund Policy

The headline rule
All sales final. If you cancel before the end of your current paid period, your subscription remains active through the last paid day and does not auto-renew. No partial refunds will be issued.
Free trial (Starter and Pro)
Both Starter ($99/mo) and Pro ($249/mo) offer a 14-day free trial. Credit card is required at signup. You will be charged your plan price on day 15 unless you cancel before that.
To avoid being charged, cancel any time during the 14-day trial via your preferences page or your Stripe customer portal (link is in every email we send). Cancellation is one click.
Paid subscriptions
- Billing is monthly. Charged on the same day each month.
- Cancellations take effect at the end of your current paid period. You keep access until then.
- No partial refunds for unused days in the current paid month.
- No prorated refunds for downgrades — the new lower tier kicks in at the next billing cycle.
Free tier ($0/mo)
Cancel anytime, no obligation. We hold your account for 30 days in case you re-activate, then delete.
How to cancel
- Log in at /preview/login.
- Go to your preferences page and click "Cancel subscription".
- Or click the Stripe customer portal link in any of our emails.
- Or email [email protected] and we'll cancel for you within 1 business day.
Disputed charges
If you believe you were charged in error (duplicate charge, charged after cancellation, etc.), email [email protected] within 30 days of the charge. We will refund any actual error promptly. Please contact us before initiating a chargeback — chargebacks issued without first contacting support may result in account termination per our Terms.
Failed payments
If your card declines, Stripe retries the charge over 7 days (smart retry schedule). Your account moves to "past_due" during retries. After 7 failed days, the subscription cancels automatically and your access drops to the Free tier (or no access if you weren't on a paid plan).
Service interruptions
If we have an extended outage (> 24 hours of total downtime in a calendar month) that prevents delivery of permit alerts you paid for, email [email protected] and we will credit a prorated amount to your next bill.
