Terms of Service

Plain-English summary
Permit Intel ("we", "us") is a Florida SaaS product run by RG Holdings LLC that emails you new building-permit data sourced from public Florida county records. By using the service you agree: (1) we deliver public-records data as-is — no warranty it's complete, timely, or accurate; (2) you cancel anytime but cancellations take effect at the end of your current paid period — no partial refunds; (3) you handle the data lawfully (TCPA, CAN-SPAM, do-not-call); (4) Florida law governs this agreement and any disputes go through binding arbitration in Florida.
1. The service
Permit Intel aggregates new building-permit filings from Florida county government portals (sourced under Florida Public Records Law, Fla. Stat. §119) and delivers them to subscribers via email and other channels per their plan. We are an independent data-aggregation service and are not affiliated with any county government, the State of Florida, or any permit-issuing authority.
2. Account & eligibility
You must be 18+ and provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity on your account.
3. Subscription & billing
- Free tier ($0/mo): 1 county, daily email digest, no credit card.
- Starter ($99/mo) and Pro ($249/mo): credit card required, 14-day free trial. You will be charged your selected plan price on day 15 unless you cancel before then.
- Billing is monthly via Stripe. Prices are in USD.
- We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice to active paid subscribers via email.
4. Cancellation policy
All sales final. If you cancel before the end of your current paid period, your subscription remains active through the last paid day and does not auto-renew. No partial refunds will be issued. Cancel via your preferences page or by emailing [email protected]. Stripe processes the cancellation as cancel-at-period-end.
5. Data & warranty disclaimer
Permit data comes from public Florida county portals. We do our best to keep it fresh, but:
- We do not guarantee completeness — county portals miss filings or have outages.
- We do not guarantee timeliness — government data lags by hours or days.
- We do not guarantee accuracy — we pass the county's record through; corrections are the county's job, not ours.
- We do not guarantee leads or sales. Permit Intel is a data feed, not a lead-conversion service.
The service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
6. Acceptable use
You may use the data to market your own construction-trade services to property owners and to inform your business planning. You may NOT:
- Resell, republish, or redistribute the raw permit data feed.
- Use the data for unsolicited phone calls, SMS, or fax in violation of TCPA or state-equivalent laws.
- Use the data for harassment, discrimination, or any unlawful purpose.
- Scrape, crawl, or programmatically access the service outside of plan-included API access.
7. Compliance is your responsibility
You alone are responsible for complying with TCPA, CAN-SPAM, FTC, state solicitation laws, and the Do-Not-Call registry when contacting property owners or contractors using our data.
8. Third-party processors
We share necessary data with: Stripe (payments), Brevo (email delivery), Linode/Akamai (hosting), Cloudflare (CDN/DNS). All four are GDPR/CCPA compliant. We do not sell your data to anyone.
9. Privacy & data rights
See our Privacy Policy. California residents have CCPA rights; EU/UK residents have GDPR rights. Email [email protected] to exercise either.
10. Intellectual property
The service, its software, branding, and aggregated dataset are owned by RG Holdings LLC. The underlying public-records data is not copyrighted (it's public records); our aggregation, enrichment, schema, and delivery system are.
11. Account termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, abuse the service (e.g., automated scraping, sharing logins beyond your team-login limit), or charge back a payment without first contacting support. We will refund any unused prepaid days only if termination is our fault, not yours.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RG Holdings LLC and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages from your use of the service. Our maximum aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
13. Governing law & arbitration
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration in Sarasota County, Florida, under the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules. You waive any right to a jury trial or class action. Either party may seek injunctive relief in a Florida state or federal court for IP or unauthorized-access claims.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be emailed to active subscribers at least 30 days before the effective date and posted with a new "Last updated" date above. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new Terms.
